So, I’m not feeling too svelt this morning, I’m feeling more like Garfield today…like a lazy (plump) cat.
It was a rainy holiday weekend which didn’t lend itself to getting to the gym. Last week I made it Mon-Thurs & Sat, but missed out on Friday and Sunday because Friday I wanted a rest day after writing my exam, and Sunday it just didn’t fit into my plans.
Then I didn’t make it yesterday either because the gym was closed
I really would have loved to go for a swim last night too…but I did kind of make up for it by going for a walk wearing my ankle and wrist weights, and doing some of my exercises (including the pushup challenge) after I got home.
But what’s really bringing me down this morning is I got on the scale and I’m at 169.5, that’s 0.5lbs higher than when I started! BOO!
I know why it is too. I LOVE FOOD. And I definitely indulged myself this week. There was the peanut buster parfait, the garlic fingers, the footlong subway sub, the raspberry shortcake, the wine, the fudgecicles, the reese peanut butter cups, the sunday morning pancakes…yup, I definitely didn’t limit myself to one treat this week
Ok, so I’ve still got four weeks left before school starts. I’m going to keep a better track of what I’m eating and continue going to the gym. Today I’m going to clean the house like it’s nobody’s business, then I’m thinking I’d like to go to the adult member lap swim at noon…then I can do my mobility exercises once I get home.
